1916 Society

The 1916 Society honors those who have made or have committed to making a planned gift to the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, thereby enriching the lives of the Mid-South community and perpetuating a base of support that will sustain the museum through its next 100 years.

We are very excited to announce the formation of the museum’s 1916 Society, named to commemorate the year the museum was founded. Right now you have a unique, one-time opportunity to join the 1916 Society as a charter member. As a charter member of the 1916 Society you will join those who have demonstrated their commitment to ensuring that the great work of the Brooks continues for future generations.

Our plan is to hold a reception in 2012 to honor our 1916 Society members, recognize those that are willing to be publicly honored, and to encourage others to join. If you have already named the Brooks in your will, we respectfully request that you let us know so we can include you as a charter member. Of course, you may also remain anonymous if you prefer, but we would still appreciate hearing from you. If you have not yet designated a bequest to the Brooks, we hope you will seriously consider doing so and we are more than happy to discuss your options with you.
