Mimi Dann: Designs in Clay
Mimi Dann is best known for her thin walled sculptural porcelain vessels with unique matt and crystalline glazes. They exploit the fluidity, translucence, and sensuousness of the medium. She tries to recapture the sense of wonder and joy she experiences in nature. Making functional forms appeals to her because of the feeling of connection with other people who touch and use her work in their daily lives.
