Tips for Visiting




Make Yourself Comfortable

  • Wear comfortable shoes! The Brooks has a total of 86,000 square feet of exhibition space
  • Bring your baby to the Brooks; strollers are permitted
  • Coat-check services are available free of charge
  • Bring a sweater. We keep the museum cool to better preserve the art
  • If it’s raining, please check your umbrella at admissions, as we do not want any water to damage the artwork

Don't forget!

  • Food and beverages are not permitted in the museum
  • Touch with your eyes and not your hands
  • Flash photography is not allowed in the museum, however some non-flash photography is allowed in selected galleries

Make a Day Out of It!

Take a lunch break at the Brushmark! On the main level of the museum, enjoy southern gourmet in a bistro atmosphere featuring the cuisine of Executive Chef Wally Joe and Chef de Cuisine Andrew Adams. Also, don't forget to visit the Museum Store where you will find unique gifts and accessories.

Whenever you visit the Brooks, you can re-enter any part of the museum building the entire day of purchase. Just show your admission button.
